Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.
The journey of studying music has been a lifelong one for me. I began piano and violin lessons at age five—and in some ways, even earlier! Music has been my training ground for developing focus, resilience, sensitivity, and determination.
Along the way, I realized how easy it is to rely on external motivation—a teacher’s praise, a checklist, or a competition. But over time, I’ve learned that it’s far more powerful (and more rewarding!) to be motivated from within.
Now, as a teacher, I model how to welcome the awkwardness of being a beginner—even after years of playing—in order to discover the joy and confidence that come with learning something new. I guide students through each stage of development, staying curious about their unique strengths, goals, and learning styles. I bring a high level of technical insight into each lesson, and I give students a strong foundation no matter their age or level.
I design lessons to help students observe and assess themselves, so that over time, they become their own best teacher.
In every lesson, students experience my core values of gentleness and empathy—which I believe are more effective and sustainable than fear or pressure. For me, the goal of music isn’t perfect performance—it’s developing the skills to share your authentic self through sound.
I look forward to partnering with you for the next stage of your musical journey!
