Music Play | Winter 2026 | Ages 0-5

Let’s playfully explore music together in this 8-week session!

Enrich your child's development by immersing them in music! Music Play is a joyful, early-childhood music experience based on Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory. The class will emphasize audiation ("thinking in music"), movement, and playful exploration as the foundation for musical understanding. In each class, children and their caregivers engage in singing, chanting, and movement designed to develop rhythm and tonal vocabularies. Songs will span many tonalities and meters, to give children a rich acculturation to different musical contexts. Movement activities draw from Rudolf Laban’s elements of time, space, weight, and flow, helping children experience music physically and expressively. This class will be full of discovery and creativity, inviting each child to learn music as naturally as they learn language.
