What to expect:
A joyful, developmentally-tailored approach to learning piano and violin
Lessons that are positive and carefully sequenced - personalized for each student
An emphasis on building true musical understanding through listening, movement, audiation, and play
Learning to understand and feel music before we focus on reading notes—just like learning to talk before reading
Lessons that combine individual attention and peer interaction
Strong foundations in posture, movement, technique, and tone
Studio events designed to inspire confidence - we’re not learning alone
Performance opportunities to celebrate every kind of progress without pressure
All ages welcome – students are met where they are and invited to grow
I am currently offering lessons in Elmira, New York, and online.
The studio schedule will follow a carefully-designed flow that includes weekly lessons, rest weeks, and recital weeks.
Weekly lessons
Weekly lessons are designed to develop focus, sensitivity, determination, and resilience. Each session will be crafted to the student’s pace and development.
Rest weeks
Rest weeks are like the musical rests between the notes. They give each growing artist a chance to take a break, be refreshed, and avoid burnout on their musical journey.
Recital weeks
Recital weeks are pure celebration. Students share their music live or on video, loved ones cheer them on, and everyone is inspired and energized for the next phase of music learning!
I will never insist that a student perform. Recitals and other studio events are invitations to be seen, heard, and celebrated, and a student’s personal choice will always be supported.
